John Boyle

Managing Director

John has over 30 years of experience within all sectors of construction. Qualifying as an advanced plumber, he graduated as a quantity surveyor, moving on to contract management, and thereafter he successfully guided a regionally listed M&E company as commercial director with over 200 employees for 10 years. During his career John has been presented with many construction awards and has received recognition for safety and quality along with his colleagues.

With safety and quality paramount in our sectors, and at the forefront of our business, John has a hands-on approach in which he supports our processes and client expectations. It is with John’s wealth of experience and determination that we can ensure our company will continuously improve and grow.

Scott Jackson

Director

Scott has over 30 years experience within the multi-disciplined engineering sector, and has achieved endless recognition for his commitment to deliver safely and with quality and client trust at the forefront of his reputation brand. A qualified electrical and mechanical engineer, he developed these skills in the UK & Globally with a world wide established industry expert. In 1999 he moved into project management at an early part of his career, working successfully to become Engineering Manager in this same company.

Scott has successfully completed many complex, time critical projects managing them from their initial design stage through to manufacture, commissioning , client handover and lifetime support. In 2006 he founded SBJ Engineering Services Ltd which is a multi-disciplined Engineering company that provides electrical, mechanical and FM services including specialised equipment procurement and support. These services are supplied across many various different industry sectors including the marine (MoD / Navy) , offshore, pharmaceuticals and printing, not only in Scotland, but within the UK and overseas. Scott prides himself in safety, quality, teamwork and always going that bit further for our clients , their clients and the end user.

Tammie Gorrian

Office Manager

Tammie has 15 years of general office management experience within the building services sector. She has successfully qualified with Business Administration and Customer Service accreditations. Working with many operational and logistics teams across the Customer Services sphere of residential developers and management companies, she always prides herself and her team in going that little bit further to make us the contractor of choice.

Craig Vickers

Contracts Manager

With over 30 years of experience within the new build residential construction sector, Craig brings a wealth of knowledge to our team as a fully qualified technician plumber.

Craig takes pride in our high-quality works and professionalism, while also having a hands-on approach to safety, customer service and client expectations.

With his many years of site supervision and management of large and bespoke projects, Craig has successfully been part of many award wining and prestigious developments.

Jim Jones

Project Supervisor

Jim is a dedicated and skilled professional in the construction industry, recently promoted from Site Operative to Site Supervisor in recognition of his leadership, reliability, and commitment to excellence.

With years of hands-on experience, Jim has consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic and a collaborative approach, making him a trusted member of the Axwell Technical Services team. His promotion reflects his ability to take on greater responsibility and support the successful delivery of complex projects across Scotland.

Jim is passionate about learning and development, always seeking to expand his knowledge and adapt to the evolving demands of the construction sector.

Outside of work, Jim is an avid runner who enjoys pushing his limits through long-distance and trail running. He finds that running helps him stay focused, energised, and ready to tackle challenges both on and off site.

David Hay

Project Supervisor

David has a wide-ranging knowledge of the building industry and has been constantly recognised for his quality of works, supervision and management of many complex, prestigious and award winning developments in East and Central Scotland.

As a fully qualified plumber for over 20 years David has successfully shaped his career working with many of the management and site project teams within Axwell Technical Services.

David prides himself in being a hands-on and approachable supervisor who looks to continually develop his skill base to help understand the changes, challenges and expectations of working in the construction sector.

In his free time, David loves to have fun with his family, play rugby and focus on his fitness.

Michael Rafferty

Buyer

Michael has 15 years of experience in the plumbing & heating industry. Beginning his career within in the supply chain/merchant sector which helped gain a comprehensive knowledge of product, supply chains & logistics. Progressing on to a procurement buying role for a national construction company and gaining skills in cost control/analysis, varied procurement practices and contract management.

Michael thrives as part of an ambitious team always looking to add value & efficiency were possible. Michael is currently working towards his CIPS diploma and is a valuable asset to the business and its continued success.

Jack Warren

Estimator

Jack started his plumbing apprenticeship in 2014. Once qualified, he furthered his role and became an advanced plumber. Jack has had success and gained great experience on many NHBC award wining projects throughout Scotland. Jacks qualities and attention to detail were quickly recognised by management and became an Estimator.

His vast site experience and knowledge of the trade are the comprehensive tools that he brings to the team. Jack has over 8 years experience within the construction industry and continually strives to develop himself further. His positive attitude compliments our team and helps build relationships with our client base.

Iain Findlay

Quantity Surveyor

Iain has a vast comprehensive knowledge and wealth of experience of the construction industry having been involved with many complex, iconic projects and technical projects throughout Scotland during his career.

As a fully qualified quantity surveyor, working on everything from bespoke private build to multimillion pound public projects Iain’s experience includes all aspects of cost management , commercial support to the client , and his colleagues while ensuring all our projects are carried out on time , with partnership and within budget.

Iain has a professional reputation for focus and detail and is always willing to go that extra mile to help our clients achieve good value for their money while also ensuring he is on site to visually support all involved with any works he is involved with.

Iain also has many keen interests out with work , with family and music being a big part of his relaxation and motivation.

David Falconer

Customer Service & Commissioning Engineer

David has had many successful and accredited years of experience with Scottish Gas / Centrica, gas servicing and repairs sector, Scottish Water contract services , and a comprehensive experience of the Plumbing & Heating industry while working previously with many of the current team member who work within Axwell Technical Services.

David brings to our business a respected and trusted wide ranging skill set, while also possessing the latest industry knowledge and intelligence of the highest calibre to support and continually improve Axwell Technical Services.

David is key member of our team driving the continual growth and development of our technical services. Quality, safety, and customer focus within the ever-changing technology of the markets we currently operate in are David’s key focus along with our teams.

As a keen team player David is a member of many social organisations, while also enjoying sports and keeping fit and spending time with his family.

Nicola Marshall

Administration Assistant

Nicola is an experienced, reliable, and hardworking individual with extensive experience across various organisations and roles. Known for being friendly and outgoing, she has a genuine passion for helping others and always acts in a sensitive and considerate manner. She is highly flexible and adaptable, constantly eager to learn and grow.

Throughout her career, she has thrived in diverse situations, whether working independently or as part of a team. Nicola maintains an upbeat and helpful attitude, even under pressure, and excels in organisational, prioritizing, and problem-solving tasks.
